everyday fun

business first:  clara had her 6-month well-visit last week, and is in the 90th percentile for height and 50th for weight. she's slimmed down a good bit the last couple of months. her doctor says that's totally normal for breastfed babies and that she's 100% healthy :-)

she can get in the crawling position now but can't go anywhere. I am not in a hurry for her to crawl! her daddy is encouraging the crawling, and may soon pay for that by having to do a whole lot of baby-proofing. ha.

now for the fun... here are some snapshots of some of clara's usual daily activities, taken over the past few weeks:

I love when daddy buzzes me with the "snake"

ready to go on an adventure (and about ready for a bigger carseat.... sigh)

daddy reads the paper... I play with the ads. everyone's happy

I'm entering the above photo in Paper Mama's "eyes" photo challenge.

daddy made me french toast sticks!

mommy made me blueberry pancakes!

playing horsey with daddy

mmmm sweet potato oven-fries

have a great week, y'all!

You take fantastic pictures!!! Truitt loves helping Dad read the paper too. My husband was all for crawling and still is AND want him to start walking! Obviously he doesn't run after him all.day.long like I do!

Samantha, it's not me, it's the camera. It was a FORTUNE but especially since we're not having any professional pics taken of Clara, it was so worth it :) it's a canon rebel t3i.

Truitt is so freaking cute with his walker!!

So beautiful! And I am impressed with her eating skills! Penelope still spits out mushy foods-- I don't think i would trust her to not inhale a toast stick.

Such a cutie pie! I love the pictures you take, too. I am going to look into your camera - mine is a piece of crap and I take better shots with my iPhone.

It looks like the baby led weaning is going great! So, do you do the whole, only one new food every four days thing, then? We are still doing purees but are thinking about making the switch (or combining the two).
